Client's Requirement: Msingi Africa was started in 2005 and in this time has handled structural and
civil construction projects, mainly with the involvement of the company’s founder and CEO. The company has
grown and now needed to ensure that the same quality of work delivered by the CEO can be delivered by his
staff.
Our response: Over a period of 7 days, we mapped and validated the client’s processes, developed an
implementation plan that included redefining job descriptions, highlighting process changes, developing key
process measures and KPI definitions. We further supported the organisation in implementing and sustainably
managing its book-keeping processes.

Client's Requirement: DAMCO is one of the world’s leading providers of freight forwarding and supply
chain management services and has been in operation for over 100 years. The company was centralising implementing
a new customer management and finance system and required that the new processes seamlessly support service
delivery.
Our response: On-site support until successful completion of the implementation.
Mikisa Group of Schools
Business Support for Finance and Administration
Client's Requirement: Mikisa Academy is a school in Nairobi that needed to clarify its work processes
for the purposes of business continuity. The school in particular required that processes for running all
aspects of the school, including admission of students, collection of fees, and contracting of suppliers
be defined to minimise interruptions in its operations whenever there were staff changes.
Our response: We assessed the existing practices and developed an operations manual based on the values
and practices of the school, including the requirements for admission of students. We developed a guideline
for fees and implemented a practice for active follow-up of outstanding fees amounts. In addition, we helped
the organisation institute a method of evaluating existing and potential suppliers. With regard to human
resources, we made recommendations for hiring of staff which were adopted, resulting in a systematic way
of hiring. To ensure continuation, we recommended an administrator who we have coached to ensure structure
and stability in the running of the school. We acted as advisor to the school director for a period of 3
months after completion of the project. This has seen the director constitute an active board and make changes
necessary to strengthen the business.

Client's Requirement: The company is growing and the CEO was interested in creating standard work process documents that could be used to train new and retrain existing employees.
Our response: In collaboration with the staff of Shumata, we created an operations and HR manual for use within the organisation.
